European Aquatics launches Masters open water tour
A three-stage international series will finish at the Masters Championships in Šamorín.
Source publication date:
European Aquatics launched a Masters Open Water Swimming Tour with three stages in 2026. The series opens with a three-kilometre race in Protaras on 19 April, continues alongside the junior open water championships in Sukoró in July, and concludes at Šamorín on 28 August.
The final leg will form part of the European Masters Championships. Athletes must attend every stage to appear in the overall ranking, while medals will be awarded at each race. The federation positioned the circuit as a dedicated international opportunity for Masters competitors.
The leading three men and women across age groups will receive support towards future participation, with contributions totalling 6,500 euros. The launch notice set bulletin publication for 17 February and registration opening the following day.
