European under-twenty water polo draws set elite groups
Varna and Oeiras will host the men’s and women’s summer tournaments.

European Aquatics completed the draws for its under-twenty water polo championships. In the men’s elite event, Croatia, Hungary, Italy and Greece formed Group A, while Montenegro, Spain, Germany and Serbia entered Group B. Varna will host the tournament from 10 to 16 August.
The other elite groups contain Türkiye, Bulgaria, France and Slovenia, and the Netherlands, Romania, Malta and Czechia. The top two teams in each leading division group qualify directly for quarter-finals, while the remaining teams use crossover matches to decide the other places.
The women’s tournament in Oeiras runs from 1 to 7 August. Spain, Greece, Italy and Israel were drawn together in its leading Group A, with Hungary, Croatia, the Netherlands and France forming Group B.
