Andy Farrell named a thirty-seven-player Ireland squad for the men’s Six Nations, with Caelan Doris continuing as captain. Munster second row Edwin Edogbo and Ulster scrum-half Nathan Doak were the two uncapped players selected for the championship campaign.
Ireland open against France at Stade de France on February 5 before home meetings with Italy, Wales and Scotland and an away match against England. The squad was due to assemble in Dublin and travel to Quinta do Lago for training.
Mick Kearney returns as team manager for his third spell in the role, while Gerard Carmody retains oversight of operations. Farrell highlighted the group’s evolution, including twelve international debuts over the previous year, as preparations moved toward the opening match.
