Erdoğmuş enters the open top 50 in February ratings
Tan Zhongyi returned to the women’s top five in FIDE’s monthly lists.
Source publication date:
FIDE’s February rating release recorded Yağız Kaan Erdoğmuş entering the open top fifty for the first time. He added eleven points after his match against Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, reaching a listed rating of 2669.
Tan Zhongyi also gained eleven points to return to the women’s top five. Rachael Li led the listed top-hundred gains with thirty-six points and entered the women’s top hundred, while Amina Kairbekova gained thirty-one points and reached a career-high sixty-first position.
The timing of the list matters: FIDE said the Tata Steel tournament, which was concluding on publication day, would be incorporated in March rather than February. These are monthly ranking developments, not additional tournament victories. The release provides a dated snapshot and should not be read as the players’ current October rankings.
