FIDE invites schools to showcase chess classrooms
The education contest rewards engagement, creative activities and inclusive learning.

FIDE’s Chess in Education Commission opened its 2026 Classroom Contest, inviting schools to submit photographs of chess learning in action. Entries will be assessed for engagement, creativity, educational use of chess and the capacity of classroom activities to bring people together.
Each school may send up to three photographs, with every image below 500 kilobytes. Submissions must identify the school, city, country and responsible teacher, coach or coordinator. The deadline is 30 April, and winners are scheduled to be announced on 8 May.
First prize includes federation promotion, a free School Award application, a teacher preparation course place and an annual LogiqBoard subscription. Second and third prizes combine publicity with discounted training, award applications and subscriptions.
