Source publication date:
FIDE’s Women’s Commission and Educational Commission announced a series of online courses preparing women to teach chess. The initiative follows the worldwide Chess Women’s Day celebrations and forms part of the federation’s Year of Chess in Education programme.
The English course runs on 8–10 May with Anzel Laubscher. Arabic tuition follows on 5–7 June with Mahmoud Roushdi, French on 3–5 July with Seddik Sidrine, and Spanish on 7–9 August with Frank De La Cruz.
Each course accepts twenty participants, with a maximum of two from any country. Registration closes a week before teaching begins. Participation fees are waived; successful candidates seeking the FIDE School Instructor title will still need to pay the title fee.
