FIH's rankings update retained the Netherlands and Belgium as the leading men's teams after early-season Pro League matches and World Cup qualifiers. Australia moved into third, while England rose three places from its year-opening position to fourth.

Japan's men climbed from eighteenth to fourteenth after finishing third in Egypt and securing World Cup qualification. Pakistan advanced two places to twelfth, and Ireland moved into ninth, reflecting results across the qualifier programme in three host countries.

The Netherlands continued to lead the women's rankings ahead of Argentina, Belgium, China and Spain. Chile reached an all-time high of eleventh after starting the year fifteenth, while Scotland moved to fourteenth following qualification for its first World Cup in twenty-four years.
