FIS and Viessmann launch Nordic combined climate awards
Two organising committees will receive €2,500 for measurable environmental work.
Source publication date:
FIS and Viessmann Climate Solutions launched two climate awards for Nordic Combined World Cup organisers during the 2025/26 season. The initiative recognises practical environmental improvements under the federation’s Impact Programme rather than relying solely on statements of commitment from event organisers.
One award covers the most consistent and systematic use of the FIS carbon dioxide calculator. The other recognises credible, measurable emissions reductions, connecting the collection of environmental data with changes in the way World Cup competitions are delivered.
Each successful organising committee will receive €2,500 to develop its sustainability work further. The awards continue the partners’ Combined for Change initiative, building on the previous season’s sustainability tour and award while encouraging local committees to document and implement concrete action.
