FIS launched an education website alongside its first formal technical official guidelines under a new education strategy. The documents outline how officials enter the federation’s pathway, obtain certification and continue professional development, with implementation scheduled for 1 July and national nominations due by 30 June.

The pathway has three phases. Applicants begin through online learning after national association education; candidates combine digital and in-person study with practical event training; licensed officials continue through updates, assignments and active contributions to their roles in competition delivery.

The website provides a common entry point for athletes, coaches, officials, organisers and other staff. Initial resources include Moodle learning, the official guidelines and webinar programmes, with additional athlete and coach content planned as the platform develops.
