Flight Nationals opens registration for Bonneville Salt Flats competition
Utah’s September meeting will welcome distance shooting across multiple bow divisions.
Source publication date:
USA Archery opened registration for its Flight Nationals at the Bonneville Flight Range in Utah on 3–6 September. The competition tests how far an arrow travels, with equipment design and shooting technique central to performances across the open salt flats.
All USA Archery and World Archery flight divisions are included, covering compound, recurve and longbow equipment. Specialised shooting periods are reserved for foot bows, crossbows and unlimited flight bows so that long-distance arrows can be measured and retrieved safely.
Exhibition rounds will allow competitors to try additional equipment configurations outside official competition. Entry is open to USA Archery members, with temporary membership available for visiting foreign athletes. The established Bonneville venue provides the flat, extensive terrain required for attempts that can exceed one thousand metres.
