Merle Fraebel won the European women’s singles luge title in Oberhof in 1:22.867. The twenty-two-year-old German also earned her second World Cup victory, both achieved on her home track, and the European under-23 title.

Fraebel lowered the track record to 41.403 seconds in the opening run. Lisa Schulte finished second, 0.279 seconds behind, narrowly pushing Nathalie Maag into third by two thousandths. Elina Bota also improved the start record during the competition.

Anna Berreiter finished fourth, followed by Dorothea Schwarz and Julia Taubitz. Hannah Prock dropped from third after the first run to eighth. Schulte and Taubitz left the race tied atop the overall World Cup standings with 379 points apiece.
