The Freeride World Tour returned to Haines after an eight-year absence, staging competition on a face with a 740-metre vertical drop and twenty centimetres of fresh snow. Toby Rafford won the men’s ski category with 90.67 points, earning his first tour victory and taking the overall lead.
Mia Jones won women’s snowboard with ninety-one points, ahead of Anna Martinez and Noémie Equy. Victor de Le Rue took the men’s snowboard title on 91.67, incorporating a frontside 540 into his descent and maintaining his position atop the season standings before the final competition.
Sybille Blanjean won women’s ski with 75.67 points and moved into the overall lead. Riders next prepared for the deciding event on Verbier’s Bec des Rosses.
