Frölunda wins fifth Champions Hockey League title in overtime thriller
Jere Innala's power play winner settled a Swedish final against Luleå after a late equaliser.

Frölunda Gothenburg claimed its fifth Champions Hockey League title by defeating Luleå 3–2 in overtime at Scandinavium. A sellout crowd of 12,044 watched the Swedish rivals contest a final in which the hosts twice led before being forced into extra time.
Jere Innala scored the winning goal on a power play 4:57 into overtime, converting Henrik Tömmernes's pass. Frölunda's earlier goals also came on special teams, with Nicklas Lasu scoring shorthanded and Jacob Peterson converting on the power play.
Luleå equalised with seventeen seconds remaining in regulation. Frölunda captain Max Friberg was named the season's most valuable player after collecting twelve points in thirteen games, while the club added the 2026 title to wins in 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2020.
