Germany and Austria win first mixed European luge titles
Both winning teams established new Oberhof track records.

Max Langenhan and Julia Taubitz won the first European mixed singles luge title in Oberhof for Germany’s second team. Their 1:34.206 set a track record, with Felix Loch and Merle Fraebel finishing 0.063 seconds behind for Germany’s first team.
Jonas Mueller and Lisa Schulte completed the singles podium for Austria. The mixed doubles title went to Austria’s Thomas Steu and Wolfgang Kindl, together with Selina Egle and Lara Kipp, in another track-record performance of 1:34.156.
Germany’s Toni Eggert and Florian Mueller, joined by Jessica Degenhardt and Cheyenne Rosenthal, took doubles silver, 0.174 seconds back. Latvia finished third. The races awarded European titles in the mixed formats for the first time alongside the World Cup competition.
