Giusti Gomes and Acunha dominate Joinville youth championship
The Brazilian pair conceded only five games in their under-eighteen title campaign.

Julia Giusti Gomes and Ana Julia Acunha won the under-eighteen girls’ championship at FIP Promises Joinville. The partnership dropped no sets and conceded only five games across the tournament, adding another title after youth successes in Santa Maria, Rio Grande and Porto Alegre in 2025.
Sixteen-year-old Giusti Gomes also reached the quarterfinals of the concurrent FIP Bronze event with Gabriela Barreto. They lost to the eventual finalist pairing of Cristina Cirne and Manuela Schuck. The player from Pelotas had represented Brazil at the 2024 world championships in Qatar.
The youth event comprised six draws. Frederico De Marco and Luca Formigheri won boys’ under-sixteens, while Cecilia Almeida and Martina Hossen took the girls’ category. Nathan De Barros and Lucca Carlesso won boys’ under-eighteens, completing the results alongside the dominant Giusti Gomes–Acunha partnership.
