The Global Girls' Game brought female hockey players together through linked events around the world. Each local contest used Team Blue and Team White, with scores combined into a shared international tally for the initiative that began in 2015.

The IIHF's March account showed how countries adapted the event to local development needs. Poland involved 84 girls in under-9 and under-11 categories across twelve small team games, while Argentina linked its showcase to the inaugural season of a three club women's league.

In Korea, thirteen Triggirls players joined ten guests, supported by four former men's national team coaches. Those examples sat alongside matches and participation activities across Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania and the Americas, illustrating the programme's emphasis on access and connection.
