Both winners closed championship gaps at the penultimate World Cup stop.
Source publication date:
Matt Graham and Olivia Giaccio won the Moguls World Cup races in Nanto-Toyama during wet, soft conditions. Graham scored 78.42 points to beat Landon Wendler on 78.21, with Japan’s Ikuma Horishima third on 75.63.
Giaccio won women’s moguls with 75.64 points, ahead of Hinako Tomitaka on 75.31 and Perrine Laffont on 75.01. It was the American’s first victory of the season after reaching the podium at every previous World Cup stop.
Tomitaka earned her best World Cup result, improving on two earlier third places. The results narrowed the contests for the discipline globes at the penultimate stop, with both winners adding important points before the remaining races of the campaign.
