Matias Grande and Angela Ruiz claimed their first Indoor World Series titles in Merida, giving Mexico both individual recurve gold medals. Grande defeated Nicholas D’Amour in a shoot-off after the American recovered from a 5–1 deficit to level their final.
Grande’s decisive arrow was the closer 10. Ruiz produced three perfect 30-point ends to beat compatriot Alejandra Valencia 6–0 in the women’s final. The 19-year-old followed the silver medal she had won in Nimes with her first circuit victory.
Juan Pablo Tellez Aguirre secured recurve men’s bronze, while Ana Luiza Sliachticas Caetano finished third among the women. Mathias Fullerton and Andrea Becerra won the compound categories. Las Vegas was scheduled to host the season finale in March.
