Matias Grande reached the men’s recurve final four at the opening Archery World Cup stage in Puebla. The 21-year-old Mexican began his elimination run against reigning world champion Andres Temiño Mediel and recovered from losing the opening set to win 6–4.

Grande then beat India’s Dhiraj Bommadevara in a shoot-off before defeating Aldar Tsybikzhapov 6–0 in the quarterfinals. The sequence secured a place in the finals session in front of his home crowd.

The confirmed semifinal opponent was defending World Cup champion Brady Ellison. Grande had won their two earlier individual meetings, including Madrid in 2025; this report records qualification for the final four rather than a later medal result.
