Daniela Hantuchova discussed her work promoting fertility awareness and education in a WTA interview. The former world number five said her own experience motivated efforts to give younger players more information about their options and the support available during their professional careers.

Hantuchova works with Hopeful Family, a foundation associated with a Bratislava clinic, and welcomed the WTA’s Fertility Protection Special Entry Ranking Rule. Introduced during 2025, the rule provides eligible players with entry protection while taking time away for fertility procedures.

The special ranking can be used for up to three tournaments. It sits within a broader family-support programme that also includes pregnancy ranking protection, postpartum assistance, paid maternity leave and fertility grants through the PIF WTA Maternity Fund.
