Heather McKay became the eleventh member of the PSA Hall of Fame at a presentation in Brisbane. The ceremony took place at Rydges Hotel on Australian Open semifinal day, recognising one of the most successful careers in the history of professional squash.

McKay won sixteen consecutive British Open titles and remained unbeaten in competitive play for more than eighteen years during her dominance of the 1960s and 1970s. The Hall of Fame was launched in June 2024 to recognise influential players from the sport’s past and present.

She joined earlier inductees including Jahangir Khan, Susan Devoy, Nicol David, Jansher Khan and Geoff Hunt. McKay said receiving the honour alongside the Australian tournament made the occasion especially meaningful. The presentation also coincided with recognition for other figures within Squash Australia’s Hall of Fame.
