Hong Kong Open reports record participation
The thirteenth Hong Kong International Open attracts more than 400 players.

The 2025 Hong Kong International Open drew more than 400 competitors from thirty regions, including over eighty titled players. Its thirteenth edition took place at Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Wan Chai, with nine rounds spread across seven days.
Mongolian International Master Amartuvshin Ganzorig won the open section. China’s Peng Xiongjian finished second, followed by India’s N. R. Visakh. The tournament’s prize fund rose by nearly twenty percent as the organisers expanded the event’s competitive offering.
Zheng Xiner of China won the Challenger section and was the only woman among its top ten finishers. Li Tianbo placed second and Hong Kong’s Tong Ho Man third, giving the host region representation on that section’s podium.
