India named its squads for the first two 2026 Archery World Cup stages in Puebla and Shanghai after four days of national trials in Kolkata. The selection combined established international competitors with younger athletes and also determined the Bangkok Asia Cup team.

Deepika Kumari and Jyothi Surekha Vennam retained senior places, while Atanu Das and Abhishek Verma returned after missing selection the previous year. Sahil Rajesh Jadhav topped the compound men’s trials and joined fellow newcomer Kushal Dalal in the World Cup squad.

Sixteen-year-old Kumkum Anil Mohod led recurve women’s qualification, joining Ankita Bhakat, Simranjeet Kaur and Kumari. The recurve men’s group included Das, Tarundeep Rai, Dhiraj Bommadevara and debutant Yashdeep Bhoge for the opening international assignments.
