Infinite Chess schedules autism awareness discussion
Parents, coaches and a specialist will join an online conversation about family experiences.

FIDE Infinite Chess announced an online awareness event called An Atypical Day for 4 April at noon Central European Summer Time. The session will examine the experiences of families living with autism and their relationships with the project’s chess activities.
Parents and coaches are due to share accounts of daily challenges and discuss how participation has affected their families. A question-and-answer segment will follow, allowing attendees to raise concerns and explore issues brought forward in the personal stories.
Special pedagogy specialist and sensory therapist Gulzhanar Akhaeva will provide professional perspectives. FIDE said Infinite Chess was operating in twenty-eight countries and supporting more than 270 children with autism and accompanying conditions; access to the event requires online registration.
