Ireland names Club XV training squad for Scotland fixture
Twenty-eight club players begin preparations for the Dalriada Cup encounter.
Source publication date:
Ireland Club XV head coach Adam Craig selected a twenty-eight-player training squad ahead of the match against Scotland. Ten clubs from Energia All-Ireland League Divisions 1A and 1B were represented in the group announced by the IRFU.
Thirteen players returned from the side that faced Portugal A the previous year, including captain Jack Kelleher of Cork Constitution. Training sessions were scheduled for January 18 and February 1 at the IRFU High Performance Centre.
The international fixture was set for February 13 at Energia Park in Donnybrook, with a 6.30pm kick-off. It will revive the Dalriada Cup meeting between the club selections, last contested in 2020 when an Ireland side captained by Alan Kennedy won.
