Ireland’s Aviva women’s fixture passes 12,500 ticket sales
Ireland’s first standalone women’s international at Aviva Stadium draws early demand.
Source publication date:
The IRFU reported that ticket sales had passed 12,500 for Ireland’s Women’s Six Nations match against Scotland. Scheduled for May 17 at 2.30pm, the fixture will be the first standalone women’s international staged at Aviva Stadium.
The announcement came as Scott Bemand’s squad began preparations with a thirty-seven-player training group that included ten uncapped players. The Ireland programme also gives supporters in other provinces opportunities to attend home championship matches during the spring.
Italy will visit Dexcom Stadium in Galway on April 18 for the city’s first Women’s Six Nations fixture. Wales is scheduled to play at Affidea Stadium in Belfast on May 9, before the Scotland encounter brings the home programme to Dublin.
