FIH detailed the men’s World Cup qualifier in Ismailia, Egypt, scheduled for 1 to 7 March. Eight national teams will compete for three automatic places in the 2026 World Cup, with qualification awarded to the two finalists and the bronze-medal winner.

Pool A consists of Egypt, England, Japan and the United States. Austria, China, Malaysia and Pakistan form pool B. The preliminary stage runs through 4 March, followed by semi-finals on 6 March and the medal matches on the final day.

The highest-ranked fourth-place team across Ismailia and Santiago will also qualify, providing a further route beyond the podium. Nine countries had already secured World Cup places, and the March competitions would complete the sixteen-team field for the event jointly hosted by Belgium and the Netherlands.
