Italy’s recurve women set a national team qualification record at the European Indoor Archery Championships in Plovdiv. Loredana Spera, Chiara Rebagliati and Roberta Di Francesco combined for 1758 points, improving the previous mark of 1741 that had stood since 2008.

Di Francesco also led individual women’s recurve qualification with 590, while Matteo Borsani topped the men’s field with 595. Sofie Louise Dam Marcussen scored 596 to lead compound women. Nicolas Girard and Shamai Yamrom tied on 598 in compound men, with a coin toss determining the top seed.

Cinzia Noziglia led barebow women with 544 and Jerome Souchaud led barebow men with 555. Qualification concluded on Tuesday, ahead of the championships’ elimination rounds and medal matches.
