Jameson and Fadaely upset seeds in Oceania qualifying quarters
The Kooyong tournament’s men’s and women’s fields reached the semifinal stage.

Freddie Jameson and Sophie Fadaely upset higher seeds to reach the Oceania World Championship qualifying semifinals in Kooyong. Seventh seed Jameson defeated second seed Elijah Thomas 3–2, regaining control after losing a two-game lead against his New Zealand compatriot.
Jameson won the deciding game 11–8 after Thomas had taken the third 11–0. Fadaely, ranked one hundred thirty-sixth, beat top seed Jessica van der Walt 3–1 in thirty-four minutes, earning a semifinal against Ella Jane Lash in the women’s draw.
Joseph White survived an eighty-six-minute, five-game quarterfinal against Connor Hayes. David Turner advanced without losing a game, and Lwamba Chileshe beat Dylan Molinaro 3–1. Kaitlyn Watts and Madison Lyon completed the women’s semifinal field with straight-games victories over Erin Classen and Remashree Muniandy respectively.
