Japan hit eleven to secure an Asian Cup quarter-final
Ueki and Miyazawa each scored hat-tricks against India.

Japan defeated India 11-0 to confirm their Women’s Asian Cup quarter-final place in Perth. Riko Ueki and Hinata Miyazawa each scored three goals as a heavily changed Japanese side followed their opening victory with a dominant Group C performance.
Yuzuki Yamamoto struck early before Yui Hasegawa added the second. Miyazawa scored twice during the opening half, and Kiko Seike converted a penalty in added time, giving Japan a five-goal lead at the interval.
Ueki came on after half-time and quickly contributed two goals before completing her hat-trick later. Seike added another, Maya Hijikata headed in and Miyazawa completed her own treble, leaving India needing a win against Chinese Taipei to retain any prospect of advancing.
