Juventus Women won their fifth Italian Super Cup by defeating Roma 2-1 in Pescara. Substitute Cristiana Girelli delivered the winning goal in the 85th minute, redirecting Martina Lenzini’s shot with a backheel to decide the final.

Manuela Giugliano had put Roma ahead after 23 minutes following Évelyne Viens’ low delivery. Amalie Vangsgaard brought Juventus level before the interval, converting after Chiara Beccari sent the ball into the six-yard area.

The teams played through heavy rain and a slippery pitch. Danielle de Jong made important saves as Roma threatened during the second half, giving Juventus the platform to stay level until Girelli’s late intervention turned the trophy contest their way.
