IJF signs Kazakhstan university judo partnership
A three-party agreement sets out coach training and student participation.
Source publication date:
The IJF signed a memorandum with Kazakhstan’s Ministry for Science and Higher Education and the Jenys International Sports Foundation to develop judo in universities. The agreement created a framework for student participation and institutional support.
The ministry and foundation intended to support university structures and coordinators, coach development, theoretical and practical classes, and university competitions. These measures were programme objectives rather than a claim that every university already offered judo.
The IJF undertook to provide methodological support, assist instructor training, support competitions and camps, and contribute to equipment and infrastructure. Seminars and working meetings were also envisaged as the partnership moved from agreement towards implementation.
