Kingsbury reaches one hundred World Cup wins in Val St. Come
Anthony won the women’s moguls event as fog altered the competition format.
Source publication date:
Mikael Kingsbury won the men’s moguls competition in Val St. Come to reach one hundred career World Cup victories. The Canadian scored 85.83, ahead of Matt Graham on 83.50 and Nick Page on 80.96, before a supportive home crowd.
Dense fog and poor visibility meant the sixteen qualifiers competed in a superfinal. Kingsbury, who had sustained a summer training injury, delivered the decisive run and received a commemorative bib marking the milestone.
The women’s event was decided from qualification results, with Jakara Anthony winning on 79.83 points. Tess Johnson and Olivia Giaccio completed that podium. Anthony and Graham moved into the women’s and men’s moguls standings leads respectively, giving Australia both yellow bibs.
