Korea Republic hit six to advance and qualify for Brazil
The 6-0 quarter-final result left Uzbekistan seeking the playoff route.

Korea Republic defeated Uzbekistan 6-0 in Sydney to reach the Women’s Asian Cup semi-finals. The win also secured a place at the 2027 Women’s World Cup, with Uzbekistan left to pursue qualification through a subsequent playoff.
Son Hwa-yeon’s deflected effort provided the early breakthrough before captain Ko Yoo-jin struck from distance. Korea Republic continued to create chances and hit the woodwork twice while Uzbekistan goalkeeper Maftuna Jonimqulova tried to contain the pressure.
Park Soo-jeong converted a rebound after the interval, followed by goals from Ji So-yun and Lee Eun-young. Jang Sel-gi completed the scoring from the penalty spot during added time, finishing a decisive performance that established Korea Republic’s place among the tournament’s final four teams.
