The Norwegian’s two longest jumps ended Nika Prevc’s latest winning run.

Eirin Maria Kvandal won the women’s World Cup contest in Willingen with 235.7 points, finishing 11.3 ahead of Nika Prevc. The Norwegian recorded the two longest jumps of the day, measured at 138.5 and 143.5 metres, to secure her first victory of the season.

Kvandal led by 6.4 points after the opening round and answered Prevc’s improved final effort with an even longer jump. Her previous World Cup victory had also come in Willingen, 364 days earlier.

Agnes Reisch placed fourth and Selina Freitag sixth for Germany. Katharina Schmid finished eighth at her final home World Cup weekend before retirement, while Prevc’s runner-up finish still increased her overall standings lead over Nozomi Maruyama to 506 points.
