Szoboszlai free-kick sends Liverpool towards Marseille victory

Liverpool beat Marseille 3-0 at Orange Velodrome in the Champions League. Dominik Szoboszlai opened the scoring with a low free-kick beneath the defensive wall during first-half stoppage time.
Mohamed Salah returned to Liverpool’s starting side after Africa Cup of Nations duty, while Joe Gomez replaced Ibrahima Konate. Hugo Ekitike had an effort disallowed for offside and later hit a post as the visitors pursued a second goal.
Jeremie Frimpong’s low delivery was turned into the net by goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli with 18 minutes remaining. Substitute Cody Gakpo finished Ryan Gravenberch’s pass in the 93rd minute, completing the away victory and another clean sheet for Alisson.
