Mahuchikh clears 2.03m on return to Lviv
The Olympic champion won the Demyanyuk Memorial for a third time.

Yaroslava Mahuchikh opened her season with 2.03 metres at the Demyanyuk Memorial in Lviv. Her return to competition in Ukraine came three years after her previous appearance on home soil.
She cleared 2.00 on the second attempt and 2.03 on the third. It was her second-best career season opener, one centimetre below the 2.04 achieved in Cottbus in 2024, and her third victory at the memorial.
Oleh Doroshchuk won the men’s high jump with 2.24 before missing three times at 2.27. FIDAL’s 19 January report recorded the completed performances; Mahuchikh’s 2.03 was a season-opening result, not a new world record.
