Malaysia’s Khairul Anuar Mohamad, Norhisyam Ismail and Mohd Zaidi Bin Hashim combined for 1864 points in barebow men’s team qualification at Shah Alam on 30 April. The total came from 216 arrows shot at 50 metres.

The submitted mark was 18 points above the standing 1846 record shot by the United States trio of Cooley, Stonebraker and Yacca in November 2022. Vietnam also exceeded that previous benchmark with 1855, but Malaysia produced the higher total at the competition.

World Archery’s report on 1 May identified ratification as outstanding. The verified development is the score and its submission for record recognition, rather than a completed administrative approval. The distinction preserves the status of the achievement at the time of reporting while documenting the competition’s improvement on the existing benchmark.
