March chess ratings lift Abdusattorov back into top five
Strong Tata Steel performances also moved Assaubayeva, Woodward and Yip up their lists.

Nodirbek Abdusattorov returned to the world’s open top five after nineteen months outside it in FIDE’s March ratings. His Tata Steel Masters victory drove the change, while Bibisara Assaubayeva re-entered the women’s top ten following her Challengers performance.
Sri Lankan teenager Devindya Oshini Gunawardhana recorded the biggest gain among the featured top-hundred players, adding eighty-seven points through two Budapest events and the Rochefort Masters. Aydin Suleymanli gained fifteen points from Azerbaijan’s championship after another ten in the Tata Steel Challengers.
Andy Woodward’s Challengers title brought twenty-three points and a top-hundred debut. Carissa Yip reached the women’s top fifteen, while Jorden Van Foreest, Javokhir Sindarov and Yagiz Kaan Erdogmus attained career-best open ranking positions.
