Four qualifying tournaments will select the under-18 sides joining the championship weekend in June.

The EHF Youth Club Trophy Men returned for its second edition with sixteen under-18 teams competing for four final tournament places. EHF's March preview set out qualifying events in Bucharest, Porec, Szeged and Veszprém, scheduled between 28 March and 3 April.
The field consisted of youth teams from the senior Champions League clubs. Defending champion GOG opened against host Dinamo Bucuresti, while other qualifying groups featured last year's finalists Veszprém and fellow final weekend participants Barça and Eurofarm Pelister.
Each qualifying winner would advance toward Cologne, where the title match was scheduled for 14 June at LANXESS arena before the senior FINAL4's third place game. EHFTV was set to stream every match, giving the competition's developing players an international club platform.
