Source publication date:
Mexico City staged the first national SAMBO tournament in memory of Antonio Ramírez Rebollar. FIAS reported the event on 25 February, identifying it as the season’s opening national qualifier.
More than 150 athletes from over eighteen states competed in Sport and Combat SAMBO. The programme included male and female divisions across cadet, youth, junior and senior age groups, connecting several stages of athlete development within one national meeting.
The event commemorated Ramírez Rebollar’s work in developing Mexican SAMBO before his death in 2021. Its selection function is the immediate sporting consequence. The report does not provide an exact competition date or complete category results, so the source publication date is retained for archival reference without assigning invented winners or a precise event schedule.
