Morocco and Senegal won their Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals to set up the final in Rabat. Morocco defeated Nigeria 4-2 on penalties after a goalless contest, while Senegal beat Egypt 1-0 in Tangier.

Yassine Bounou saved Nigeria’s kicks from Samuel Chukwueze and Bruno Onyemaechi. Youssef En-Nesyri converted the decisive penalty after 120 minutes without a goal, taking Morocco into their first AFCON final since 2004.

Sadio Mané scored Senegal’s winner in the 78th minute with a shot from outside the penalty area. Senegal had controlled much of the possession against Egypt’s compact defence and then protected the lead, reaching their third final in the four editions played since 2019.
