Mueller beats Loch in Winterberg men’s singles
The Austrian moved within one point of the overall World Cup leader.

Jonas Mueller won the men’s singles World Cup in Winterberg in 1:42.899, beating Felix Loch by 0.105 seconds. The Austrian earned his second victory of the winter and eighth World Cup win overall.
Mueller established his advantage with the fastest opening run, 51.299 seconds. Loch responded with the quickest second heat but could not erase the deficit. Nico Gleirscher finished third, only 0.117 seconds behind Mueller, for his first podium of the season.
Wolfgang Kindl placed fourth, ahead of Max Langenhan and Dominik Fischnaller. Loch retained the overall lead by a single point over Mueller. Both leading athletes described adjustments required by colder, faster race conditions than those experienced during training.
