Olga Mukhina won the women’s -57kg title at the Dushanbe Grand Slam, earning her first World Judo Tour medal. The 21-year-old Russian defeated Mongolia’s Ariunzaya Terbish in the final at the Qasri Tennis arena.

Mukhina scored a decisive yuko with o-uchi-gari. Terbish pressed for a response but could not overturn the lead, leaving the Mongolian with silver and Mukhina with a gold on her first podium appearance at this level.

China’s Yuying Tao won bronze against Nan Wang after a prolonged contest ended on penalties. Russia’s Natalia Elkina took the other bronze, scoring two yuko against Chloe Devictor, who had previously lost to Mukhina in the quarterfinals.
