Korea Republic beat the Philippines 3-0 for their second successive Women’s Asian Cup victory. Two early goals established control, and Australia’s later win against Iran confirmed that both leading Group A teams would enter the quarter-finals.
Jeon Yu-gyeong opened the scoring after collecting a pass in the penalty area and turning to finish. Park Soo-jeong added another three minutes later with a curling strike, with both players registering their first senior international goals.
Mun Eun-ju supplied the third after the interval when the Philippines could not clear a corner. Korea Republic continued to create chances but did not extend the lead, while the Philippines faced a final group match against Iran with their qualification hopes still uncertain.
