Nika Prevc won the second women’s World Cup contest in Sapporo, equalling Maren Lundby’s 139.5-metre hill record from 2020. Weather conditions forced cancellation of the final round, leaving her opening jump and 134.5 points sufficient for victory.

Abigail Strate finished second for the second consecutive day, 5.3 points behind. Heidi Dyhre Traaserud took third after jumping 135 metres for 124.6 points, while Germans Selina Freitag and Agnes Reisch completed the top five.

Prevc’s thirteenth victory of the season was the thirty-fifth of her career. Having never previously reached the Sapporo podium, she left with two wins and a 468-point advantage over Nozomi Maruyama, who finished twelfth in the snow-affected competition.
