Nika Prevc won the women’s World Cup contest in Villach with 247.9 points, finishing 2.7 ahead of Lisa Eder. The Slovenian led after a 94.5-metre opening jump and secured the result with a 94.0-metre effort in the final round.

Selina Freitag moved from fourth to third to achieve her third consecutive podium. Eder rose from third to second, recording her first podium at the Austrian venue, while Abigail Strate narrowly missed the top three in fourth place.

The victory was Prevc’s sixth of the season and twenty-eighth of her career. She moved above Nozomi Maruyama in the overall standings after the Japanese athlete finished eighth, taking the leader’s yellow bib before another Villach competition the following day.
