Padola opens entries for Winter World Championships
National federation validation was required before athletes could confirm participation.

World Triathlon opened registration for the 2026 Winter World Championships in Padola, Italy. The January announcement invited elite, under-23, junior, para and age-group athletes into the winter multisport programme.
The published schedule placed elite activity from 27 February, with sprint winter duathlon on 28 February and standard winter triathlon on 1 March. The championships were set in the Dolomites on snow and alpine terrain.
Entries were managed through Njuko and were due to close on 8 February. Athletes needed validation from their national federation to confirm participation. The archived report preserves those January entry conditions rather than presenting registration as currently open.
