Pakistan earned a second men’s T20 World Cup victory by defeating the United States in Colombo. Sahibzada Farhan scored 73 from 41 balls and shared an eighty-one-run partnership with Babar Azam, while the bowling attack prevented the Americans repeating their 2024 upset.

New Zealand beat the United Arab Emirates by ten wickets in Chennai. Tim Seifert finished unbeaten on 89 and Finn Allen on 84 as they reached 175 without loss in 15.2 overs, establishing a then-record partnership for any wicket at the men’s tournament.

The Netherlands defeated Namibia by seven wickets in New Delhi. Bas de Leede contributed with bat and ball, steering the chase through a seventy-run stand with Colin Ackermann and a half-century as the Dutch reached 159 for three with two overs remaining.
