Argentina won both junior continental titles as qualification berths were settled.
Source publication date:
The 2026 Junior Pan American Cup concluded with Argentina winning both titles and seven teams securing places at the 2027 FIH Hockey Junior World Cups. FIH confirmed the allocation on 20 April after the final weekend.
Argentina defeated Canada 4-0 in the men’s final for its 14th championship in 15 editions. Both finalists qualified, while Chile claimed the third men’s berth by beating the United States 2-0 for bronze. Argentina had earlier scored 66 goals and conceded two across its six pool matches.
The women’s competition offered four qualification places. Argentina beat the United States 3-1 in the final, with Chiara Ambrosini scoring all three goals, including two fourth-quarter penalty strokes. Uruguay’s 1-0 bronze victory over Chile decided the podium, but both teams qualified alongside the finalists. The different numbers of available places explain why a fourth-place women’s team advanced while the fourth-place men’s team did not.
